What Is Wrist Watch Battery Size

The battery is the heart part of any watch because it produces power. Most wrist watches come with one battery but rarely sometimes it can be two coins or a button battery. All batteries have a life after the period you have to replace the battery.

Different types of wrist watch batteries are available in the market, the alkaline/silver-oxide coin battery, and lithium non-rechargeable batteries are very common. Some manufacturers use rechargeable batteries on their wrist watches.

This article describes various factors of a wrist watch battery. So that you can get knowledge a to z of this site.

Alkaline Button/Silver-Oxide/Coin Cell Batteries

Most of the time the button/ coin cell batteries are used in wrist watches. They are non-rechargeable batteries. Different types of a button or coin batteries are available in the market but the most known are alkaline and silver-oxide batteries.

Most of the time the button/ coin cell batteries are used in wrist watches. They are non-rechargeable batteries. Different types of a button or coin batteries are available in the market but the most known are alkaline and silver-oxide batteries.

These batteries also arrive as zinc-air batteries, but this kind of battery is not used in the wrist watch. Mercury-oxide batteries are another common wrist watch battery. Due to the mercury content, they do not use presents.

This is a good and affordable price button/ coin cell battery. Work very well with the wrist watch.  Alkaline batteries produce 1.5 volts, but the voltas drop quickly when used. Generally, wrist watches need constant and relatively high voltage, and this battery works well when you use it on a wrist watch.

It is also known as a button cell for its size and shape. to run down within months of being installed. Most of the time alkaline batteries last 3 to 5 years.

Silver Oxide

Silver-oxide button/coin cell batteries are very common and most are the most popular type of wrist watch batteries.  For the reasonable price and good quality manufactures use this. Durability is another good feature of silver oxide batteries. During the working time, this item produces a constant voltage. This high-energy battery lasts a long time.

This table presents a cross-reference chart of alkaline and silver oxide common wrist watch batteries with battery size chart:-

SR626SW Watch Battery

Silver-oxide wrist watch batteries are very common. It comes in a different category, SR626SW is one of them. It is a coin cell battery with physical dimensions of 6.8 x 2.6 millimeters.

The nominal voltage of this battery is 1.55 volts. It’s a good quality item that lasts long but it depends on the drain or use of the battery. Weather, temperature, and voltage also play an important role in battery life.

Silver-oxide has a more stable voltage and capacity than the alkaline cell battery.  R626SW battery comes with levels like other batteries. When you pick one for your watch, check it carefully.

Lithium Button/Coin Cell Battery

Most of the lithium button/coin cells batteries are non-rechargeable primary 3V batteries.  They are affordable and the most popular battery.

Manganese-dioxide lithium batteries are one kind of cattery of lithium batteries. This kind of battery label starts with ‘C’. Most of the time the operating temperature range is between -20°C (-4°F) and 70°C (158°F). The nominal voltage is 3.0 Volt.

On the other hand, the carbon-monofluoride lithium batteries’ labels start with ‘B’ and its operating temperature range is -30°C (-22°F) and 85°C (185°F). 2.8 volt is the nominal voltage.

Thus is a non-rechargeable lithium battery that features physical dimensions is 12.5 x 1.6 millimeters and its nominal voltage is 3.0 volts. The typical capacity of this item is 25 mAh.

The durability of this item depends on various factors, among the most important factors is the use and temperature. If you use it for different purposes, the battery lifetime will be short. This model lithium battery can be replaced with a BR1216 battery.

CTL Watch Batteries

The full name of the CTL battery is ‘Cobalt Titanium Lithium’. It is a rechargeable button/coin cell battery. The nominal voltage is 2.3 volt and the charging voltage is 2.5-2.7. Most of the time this type of battery is used for power watches, a smartwatch, or sometimes for the smart fitness band. It is commonly used for automatic solar watches for suitableness.

The CTL watch battery comes with the best quality. The CTL920, CTL1616, and CTL621 batteries are very common models.

The Panasonic CTL batteries are very popular and useful. Many solar watches manufacturers use Panasonic CTL batteries for the best performance and quality. You can easily find them, for this reason, manufacturers want to use this item. Panasonic CTL920F and  ‘CTL920’ batteries are very popular models.
